Why doesn't anything seem to help?

I know. You've tried everything. You've read that book your friend told you about. You've talked to everyone you trust. You've tried every angle to get your teenager to open up or help them calm down. Sure...no family or parent is perfect..but why does this keep happening?
"No one else's teen seems to be struggling like this. What in the world am I supposed to do?"
It's so easy to feel alone or completely overwhelmed by the things your teen is dealing with. Unpredictable emotional outbursts, isolation, drug use, cyber bullying, sex and relationships... How are you supposed to know how to navigate all this?
"How am I supposed to know the difference between red flags and just 'normal' teen behavior?"
Social media has changed what kids are exposed to, how they communicate and how they connect with other people. Boundary-setting and expectations are much more difficult when teens have so much they can reach at any given moment.

"What about me? I'm tired of living with the pain that seems to follow me everywhere."

Why does it seem like so many therapists don't really get it or can't connect with you? Why would you try therapy again when it wasn't that helpful before? Why does it seem like everyone has found their answer but you just haven't found yours?
